Hey! Since I'm the first one to write on the school blog I thought maybe we should start with a good topic so we could get the best of this experience (I know you are all excited about this blog so calm down a little bit and read carefully, please).
Anyways, I'm going to talk about my point of view of Lollapalooza! Okay, settle down, I know not everyone has had the opportunity to experience this festival but that's why I thought it was a good topic; everyone can learn a little bit more.
So I did my research, and Lollapalooza started in 1991 in the United States (long before we were born) and we were the first country to host the festival (besides USA) in 2011. Later if went on in Brazil, Argentina and then Europe (yes, we finally started a trend before the European).
Since we enjoyed the first edition the festival takes place every single year, in fact, more than 160,000 people attended last year within only two days! We could say that Lollapalooza arrived to stay, and the cheapest tickets only last a few minutes at most, so my question is, if you didn't give it a shot, why won' you try it next year?
I hope you found the first blog entry interesting because whe only hace twenty-six more to go so, let's make the best of it shall we? I'm waiting for your comments, go!

I thought that i was the first one, sorry! (Josefa beat me to it,I did not see that coming though)
ReplyDeleteOh my God! I didn’t know we were the second country to host this amazing festival! I am very surprised.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I think you are completely right, you should totally try the Lollapalooza experience. I went this year and I had so much fun!
Do you know Camila Cabello? Well, she was there and she was so good! I love her.
You don't say? Oh my god! I dont know her though
DeleteCristi I really liked your post, I realized so many things about lollapalooza that I didn't know and are very interesting. The thing that really impressed me is that the first country that hosted lollapalooza was Chile after USA. I didn’t have the oportunity to go this year but I am sure I’m going to go next year, see you there!
ReplyDeleteCristi, I know you want to be first in everything, but you will have to learn that it is not allways possible (especially not with me...)
ReplyDeleteThat been said, I think that your post was very interesting. I have never been to Lollapalooza, and I wasn't thinking of going, but now I might give it a chance! Thanks for your opinion!
Dear Josefa we both know the truth so don't overthink ok? You might tire yourself out! Anyways,I'm glad you liked it, we should go together!
DeleteI’ve been going to Lollapalooza since it started in Chile and I can say it’s a really good experienced. Although the tickets are a little bit high, it’s totally worth paying them because each time you get a new story you’ll cherish for life. Also, you can go to all kinds of concerts in just one place! If you haven’t gone yet, I recomend you do, you won’t regret it.
ReplyDeleteCristi I am really amazed about the information you recently gave to us, I would never have imagined that. That's probably because we, Chileans, generally underestimate ourselves like a country. We should be very proud about the great people we have in our country because thanks to them and their dedication to their jobs we can do big things such as organized one of the most famous and important festivals in the world
ReplyDeleteHave you heard the comments related to the amount of money spent on security for Lollapalooza compared to the money spent when Pope Francis came? They say it was almost the same but this time nobody complained.
ReplyDeleteThis is me... Miss Pati... commenting... I don't know why I appear as 12thB, I'll have to do sth about it ;o)
DeleteHi Cristina, first of all, thank you for your very interesting blog. Actually i think Lollapalooza it's an amazing festival and i have also been there! This past year, i had an incredible experiencie, but as you said; as they are 160.000 thousand people going around, sometimes it is a little bit exhausting.
ReplyDeleteFinally, i agree with you... people that have never participated in this huge festival, should give it a try!
Thanks for your blog Cristina!

ReplyDeleteI have been going to lollapalooza for two years now and i find impressive the amount of people that go every year, in Santiago we are minutes away from the park where the festival takes place. But many people travel hours to have the chance to see their idols, from as close as Valparaiso to as far as Antofagasta and Puerto Varas. The festival is crazy, but you have an amazing time, where running to get a good place and having a ringing in your ear is normal.
ReplyDeleteLoved your post and I think you have mad writing skills. Really cool topic by the way, I enjoyed reading about it and also agree with your point of view towards the subject, it is a lifetime experience that should be lived while we still can!
ReplyDeleteReading this post made me think of how music festivals in general, in this case lollapalooza is a place were you get the opportunity to see many artists on the same place that you might never see perform by themselves so this event is actually like going to many concerts at once!
ReplyDeleteI’ve had the opportunity to go to lollapalooza twice already and I highly suggest to try it out! Is an experience you won’t get anywhere else.
Hi Cristina!! I enjoyed a lot your post, I've gone to Lollapalooza the last few years and I love it and believe that it's a experience that everyone has to live once. I think it's amazing that we were the second country to host it because many people from other countries comes to Chile to live the experience of Lollapalooza and this help us to promote tourism and well I think that music is the best way that we can connect with people from other countries who speak different languages and have different cultures.
ReplyDeleteIn my view, I think my experience in Lollapalooza has always been great because of the organization. In Chile we are used to events that don’t start on time or that aren’t very well managed, but Lollapalooza has everything perfectly made. Everything starts in time, it has everything you need and is very into recycling.
