Chilean Super Clasico
Yesterday, the ones who like football, were able to watch one of the most waited national football games of the year. In this game Colo Colo received U, de Chile in El Monumental, a stadium in which U. de Chile haven't win in the last 17 years, making possible to add one year to the records. This waited football game was schedule to the afternoon, in order to control more the fans, who attend this game. This game was more expected because of the meaning a derby brings over what both teams were doing in the football terms. From the beginning to the end, we could se more tackles and fouls than shots or goals, the fans make presence throwing constantly object to the players or the field, apart from the fireworks or Bengals, which make the referee stop the game and delayed the start of the second half.
All of this shows the reality that Chilean and South America football is leaving, in which more times the fights outside and inside the field, take all the cameras, being that more important than what is real the purpose of going to the stadium, which is to watch football.
Thanks pablo, i'm writing you because i'm an U de Chile superfun and I was ilutionated on braking the 17 years without winning in that stadium. First of all i will said that you are wrong in terms of security because when colo colo plays against us in our field (Estadio Nacional) they are treated like kings and there isn't any security problem. Much different is the way they treat us when we visit El Monumental. They throw us (u de chile players) coins, lighters, flares, squirts, glasses, etc. so our players can even concentrate in what is really important that is winning the match. To conclude, i think that one main factor we can't win in that stadium in the last 18 years, is because colo colo's fans try to make it almost imposible to us whith their constant violence against us.

ReplyDeleteNowadays it is unbelievable the amount of violence and hate in Chilean football matches. The level of aggressiveness is so high that members throw dangerous objects to the court, that eventually make the game to be stopped, and everything is done with the object of scaring the opponent. But this can't be this way because a lot of families with childrens go to the stadium! As Pablo said, this was one of the most waited national football games, so people in charge of security should have prepared for all the possible scenarios. So to conclude I think that the security levels should be raised so that we can all enjoy good football
I actually dont watch much football on weekends or near the year. I may watch football during world championships or important games such as chile vs x, I found really incredible the enormous effort that colo colo made in order to win a game they hadnt win in so many years. I really congratulate all the player for that and obviosly the amazing people that hace supported them for so long without doubting in their possibilities of succes
ReplyDeleteThanks for your post pablo. I find it really shocking that people do these actions of throwing constantly object to the field and to the players. I think if they are in the stadium is because they are watching something they like and not something that they want to disturbe.
ReplyDeleteIn some stadiums there is not the enought security. There are families with kids and older people, so i think people should be more carefull and serious because we are watching a sport, an important sport for our country and for our people. We have to take care of it.
